The Opportunity Shape the World Around You - Join our underground structures and geotechnical excellence team and play a key role in advancing complex mining, tunneling, energy, and civil infrastructure projects across Québec and Canada. You will bring leadership and senior-level technical insight to a team designing the next generation of underground structures-tunnels, galleries, shafts, and deep excavation systems-supporting safe, resilient, and sustainable development.
Your Impact - Perform and supervise geotechnical design studies for underground structures including tunnels, galleries, and retaining systems.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, ensuring consistency, clarity, and technical excellence in all project deliverables.
- Define and validate geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological parameters that guide design decisions.
- Lead the development of design reports, geotechnical baselines (GBR), calculation notes, plans, and specifications.
- Support geotechnical risk management activities and contribute to contracting and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, environmental, transportation, hydrogeology, electromechanical).
- Contribute to innovation in underground structure engineering and support optimization efforts for civil projects across Canada.
The Skills That Set You Apart - Degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering; active member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- 8+ years of experience in geotechnical and underground design, ideally including tunneling and rock-mechanics projects.
- Strong understanding of national and international codes (AFTES, ITA, CSA, Eurocodes, ASTM, FHWA, etc.).
- Proficiency in numerical modeling and geotechnical software (Plaxis, FLAC, Rocscience suite).
- Skilled in coordination, communication, documentation, and mentoring.
- French fluency with functional English; experience in mining or hydroelectric projects considered an asset.

Compensation: NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $111,000 - $147,400
