Job description

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a part-time eLearning Instructional Designer to lead the design and development of high-quality learning experiences that align with organizational and project goals and objectives. You will utilize expertise in instructional design principles, learning theories, and educational technology to create engaging and effective learning solutions.

Responsibilities :

Complete Analysis and Design of System User learning Requirements

  • Work within the existing architecture and using the existing regionally defined LMS.
  • Work with SMEs to develop storyboards and / or curricula and recommends or utilizes programs that meet instructional goals and objectives according to adult learning principles and effective learning best practices.
  • Design eLearning modules with interactions to increase user engagement.

Communication, Planning, and Documentation to support the Education Model

  • Document an eLearning plan and provides status updates.
  • Ensure clear Communication with all stakeholders and project team members.
  • Work independently to plan and meet deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other education resources and subject matter experts, including sharing of own knowledge.
  • Document outcomes and contribute to developing existing standards.
  • Create eLearning Materials Published to LMS

  • Design and develop learning environments using existing learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools (Articulate and Camtasia).
  • Experience with text to speech tools.
  • Create eLearning with interactions to increase user engagement.
  • Create eLearning supporting documents.
  • Develop instructional strategies and plans based on adult learning principles and best practices.
  • Adhere to standardized system workflows and guidelines.
  • Evaluation and Feedback

  • Troubleshoot ad-hoc errors within the authoring tool.
  • Provide post-implementation changes as required.
  • Use end of lesson surveys to gather feedback of modules.
  • Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design and systems eLearning development.
  • Proficiency in instructional design software and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
  • Strong understanding of learning theories such as behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and connectivism.
  • Familiarity with instructional design models and frameworks, such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), SAM (Successive Approximation Model), or Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to lead eLearning initiatives through strong project management and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in Home Support and / or a Health Authority setting strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, work well in a fast-paced environment and project group.
  • Able to work on multiple tasks with competing demands to a meet deadline.
  • Strong with Planning, Multi-tasking, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, and has significant Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • Supportive of the transition from project to sustainment.
