Job description
Position: Administrative SecretaryLocation: East of MontrealSalary: $31.43 per hourJob Type: At least 1-month contract (with strong possibility of extension)Schedule: 32.50 hrs / week Our valued client in East Montreal (Sherbrooke Street East) is seeking a skilled Administrative Secretary to quickly join their team.Why join this team:- A respectful, supportive, and purpose-driven work environment- A meaningful role within a team passionate about social justice- Stable hours (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) with a great work-life balance- Competitive hourly rate and strong potential for contract renewalWhat we're looking for:- College diploma (D.E.C.) in office administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience- Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative experience, ideally in a legal or union environment- Experience handling CNESST cases - a strong asset- Excellent written and spoken French - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentialityOther Language Requirement: English- Level of Proficiency Required: Basic- Reasons for Language Requirement: To communicate and support operations in other regions outside of Quebec- Frequency of Use: Moderate (for certain tasks)What you'll do:As a Secretary, you'll play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and engaging:- Welcome visitors and provide support to union members with professionalism and empathy- Maintain and update records and files (unions, CNESST, and others)- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail (paper, email, and fax) and ensure timely follow-up- Prepare, type, and format various documents such as letters, reports, and meeting notes- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and organize meetings- Compile and track CNESST files and follow-ups- Transcribe notes, issue invoices, and manage file reminders and histories- Occasionally replace the receptionist when neededPlease forward your resume in Word format to Cristina Bilbao at cristina.bilbao@quantum.ca.REFER AND EARN A $50 GIFT CARD!
