Job Description :

  • Responsible for proactively maintaining and improving the server core infrastructure functionality and to work within existing procedures and guidelines to meet client business requirements.
  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Perform hardware and OS installations, migrations and upgrades.
  • Plan for software and hardware upgrades and migrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software.
  • Develop system related procedures.
  • Provide cross training and knowledge transfer to other server team members on relevant aspects of hardware and software support.

Must Have :

  • University graduation in Computing Science or a related discipline and 2-yr Server Analyst experience; OR 2-yr diploma in Computing Science or a related discipline and 4-yr Server Analyst experience; OR 1-yr certificate in Computing Science or a related discipline and 5-yr Server Analyst experience; OR 7-yr Server Analyst experience (Yes / No).
  • Proposed resource has agreed to an Enhanced Security Check upon contract award.
  • Proposed resource must work from within Edmonton or Calgary, due to datacenter proximity. (Yes / No)
  • Experience performing upgrades of Windows Server versions 2012 or 2016 to Windows Server versions 2019 or 2022(1Year).
  • Experience provisioning and supporting VMware ESXi 7.0 in an environment of 20 or more hosts.(1Year)
  • Industry experience working as a server support analyst supporting Windows 2019 or 2022.(2Year)

  • Experience managing resource capacities in a VMware ESXi environment. (2 Year)
  • Experience upgrading Windows servers (3 Year).
  • Experience using Client OneView to manage C7000 blade enclosures and Synergy Frames. (1 Year)
  • Experience with Client server hardware : C7000 blade enclosures, Synergy Frames, and their related compute modules. (1Year)
  • Experience with Service Now or alternative ticker management system for Change Management, Incident Management and Service Requests. (1Year)
  • Hands-on experience working in a complex environment requiring prioritization of tasks and deliverables. (3 Year)
  • Hands-on experience working in a multi-team IT support environment providing services to other teams and clients. (3 Year)
  • Industry experience working as a server support analyst supporting Azure Stack HCI (0.5Year).
