Located at dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre and reporting to the Director, IT Operations. The ideal candidate would possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in cyber security.
Role Overview
- Manage the security operations team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behaviours
- Align standards, frameworks and security with the overall business and technology strategy
- Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats to the business
- Identify security design gaps in Dentalcorp’s existing security posture and propose architectural enhancements or changes
- Work with members of the security team to investigate and bring to a close security breaches and cyber security incidents.
- Work closely with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration and effectiveness of security technologies and processes
- Own and manage various security technologies to ensure the highest standard of security
- Own and manage vulnerability management, including performing monthly Microsoft patch scans and quarterly vulnerability assessments, reporting results to management, and championing the remediation process.
- Attend Change Advisory Board meetings to ensure that changes requested do not expose dentalcorp to undue risk
- Develop, improve and manage data-driven metrics reporting on key performance indicators including anti-virus statistics, management of cyber incidents and operational activities
- Facilitate financial and regulatory IT audits, drive PCI / PPI compliance, and achieve high service level availability through regular security monitoring, scanning, and audit coordination
What we’re looking for
A professional certification (or suitable compensating experience) in the audit (CISA, etc) or security field (CISSP or CISM for instance)Familiarity in any of the traditional audit frameworks (COBiT, SOC Type II)Strong experience in privacy regulations (PIPEDA, HIPAA, CASL or equivalent)Exposure to forensic toolkits with a particular emphasis on IT-related knowledgeProven success at traditional and Agile project management software development methodologies, strong time management skills, interpersonal and conflict resolution & management expertiseDemonstrated leadership and decision-making skillsA strong ability to influence and discuss complex technology problems in business languageMust be an excellent and polished communicator who may be called upon to create and present materials to senior leadershipThe ideal candidate will be a fast-learning multi-tasker with the ability to adjust his / her outlook and leadership style to respond to quickly changing business priorities and the ability to seize opportunities to improve our technology processes and footprint while managing multiple demands concurrentlyAbout Dentalcorp
