Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work in our Vancouver Office. This position will appeal to candidates who enjoy a busy and challenging position in an office with a great culture.

The Role

The role of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to ensure accuracy of invoices and expenses entered in Emburse and SAP, to co‑coordinate any payments required in the local office and to provide customer service to internal and external clients. Handling a large volume, the candidate will need to manage several simultaneous requests and deadlines. The individual will work with other AP staff in other offices to ensure Canada‑wide coverage for all AP‑related requirements and processes.

What You Will Be Focusing On

• Providing support for coding of invoices and expenses in Emburse
• Troubleshooting issues related to the creation and submission of expenses and invoices
• Completing entries in SAP or Emburse as needed
• Validating and verifying account statements
• Validating the nature of expenses against firm policies
• Auditing and approving Visa account corporate credit card charges for the local office through Scotia Suite and WEX V‑Pay program
• Sharing tax requirement knowledge with the business (legal assistants, lawyers and administrative staff)
• Overseeing proper tax handling (ITC) on expenses and invoices
• Providing training and support to legal assistants, lawyers and administrative staff
• Contacting vendors for bank confirmation and tax registration confirmation
• Coordinating annual renewals for miscellaneous and law society memberships
• Uploading registration and search invoices to SAP (weekly and daily transactions)
• Handling payment responsibility for rush items and requests for the office

What You Bring To The Role

Vancouver Salary : $45,181 – $73,426. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
