Electrical Engineering Intern

SBM is currently seeking a Design Intern to work with our engineering staff in the Electrical division of our London office for 16 months starting in May 2026. The Electrical Engineering Intern will assist with the design analysis evaluation and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of residential commercial industrial and institutional building projects including power distribution photometrics lighting systems design building controls emergency power fire alarm and data communication systems. Some field inspection may also be required.

Key Responsibilities :

• Become familiar with design guidelines standards and regulations associated with electrical engineering
• Preparation of electrical engineering design and documents ensuring accuracy adequacy and conformance to the design requirements
• Coordinate with other team members on various projects at the same time to achieve project milestones
• Accept technical guidance from designers engineers and senior staff
• Work within the project team environment from preliminary stages of the design through to completion
• Coordinate Electrical aspects of projects with other discipline designs and drawings
