Elder Care Provider Wanted - Part Time Overnight Caregiver Needed For Italian Senior Man In His Scarborough Home

We are seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a kind Italian senior gentleman with Lewy Body dementia in his Scarborough home. This is a weekend overnight time role starting soon.

Schedule : Coverage begins Monday at 8 : 00 a.m and continues through to Saturday 8am, live in position. It is active caregiving full time hours, while overnight hours are primarily for reassurance and on-call support. The caregiver leaves for the weekend.

Responsibilities :

• Providing mental stimulation and engaging activities to support cognition and mood
• Helping with medication administration and organization
• Supporting daily routines and structured schedules
• Assisting with personal hygiene and grooming
• Monitoring symptoms and reporting any changes to the family
• Fall prevention and ensuring a safe environment
• Meal preparation and assistance with cooking
• Light household duties, including laundry and tidying
• Speaking Italian is an asset

Requirements :

• PSW certificate and CPR certification
• Experience supporting seniors with dementia preferred
• Comfortable assisting with mobility, hygiene, transfers, and daily activities
• Driver’s license is an asset but not required
• Caring, patient, and dependable
