Senior Caregiver

Job Description:

Our TorontoJobs.ca client is looking for a compassionate and reliable Senior Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman in his home. The ideal candidate will provide support to ensure his comfort, safety, and well-being before the arrival of his primary caregiver.

Job Requirements:

Position Details:

• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM, 7 days a week (flexible availability preferred)
• Weekend Coverage: Additional shifts on weekends will be needed
• Flexibility: Preferred for timing adjustments as needed

Responsibilities:

Morning Assistance:

• Help with breakfast, medication reminders, dressing, shaving, and other personal care needs.

Immediate Support:

• Assist with getting up and using the washroom safely.

Sleep Protection:

• Ensure patient’s rest is undisturbed by external interruptions (e.g., staff or other visitors).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in senior care, home care, or as a personal support worker (PSW) preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks.
• Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills.
