Martket is a dynamic and award-winning agency with cross-functional operations in medical devices, consumer textiles, and branded merchandise. As Production Coordinator, you will play an important hybrid role that involves both administrative tasks and technical development responsibilities, requiring a combination of organizational, technical, and communication skills in our fast-growing Martket Textile Division, on a 14-month maternity leave contract.

Martket Textile is a registered manufacturer and decorator of fashion and consumer textiles. Our in-house textile services include fashion design, cut & sew manufacturing, contract apparel decoration, and retail finishing. We design and manufactures activewear and lifestyle apparel under our own brand Tonic Active and are a proud private-label manufacturing and decoration partner to various other fashion brands and retailers. Our Made in Canada manufacturing operations feature both small-batch and mid-scale production capabilities, while our vertically integrated approach allows our brand partners to streamline operations, optimize supply chain management, ensure product quality, and maintain a competitive edge without having to outsource offshore.

1. Administrative Duties :

  • Managing Textile office operations, including organizing meetings, maintaining schedules, and handling correspondence.
  • Handling paperwork such as filing documents, processing invoices, and maintaining records.
  • Providing administrative support to other team members or departments as needed.

2. Technical Development Responsibilities :

  • Collaborating with technical teams to develop and implement solutions / projects.
  • Conducting research and analysis to identify technical requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assisting in the design and development of technical solutions, products, and processes.
  • Testing and troubleshooting technical systems, and equipment.
  • Providing technical support and training to team members.
  • Documenting technical processes, procedures, and specifications.
  • 3. Project Management :

  • Assisting in project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring that timelines and objectives are met.
  • Communicating project updates and coordinating tasks between different internal teams.
  • 4. Communication and Liaison :

  • Serving as a point of contact between internal teams and external clients.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical team members.
  • Communicating technical information or requirements to non-technical audiences in a clear and understandable manner.
  • 5. Problem Solving and Decision Making :

  • Identifying and addressing administrative or technical issues that arise during projects or operations.
  • Making decisions and recommendations based on technical analysis, data, and best practices.
  • 6. Continuous Improvement :

  • Participating in process improvement initiatives to streamline administrative and technical workflows.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to suggest improvements or innovations
  • SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of related experience in textile production, fashion design, project management and / or office administration.
  • Post-Secondary Education (preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License (vehicle not required)
  • Proven experience in administrative support and coordination roles.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both in-house production teams and external brand partners.
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in various cloud-based software programs, including Microsoft 365 productivity apps (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
