• Location: Based out of Saskatoon, supporting Northern Saskatchewan ProjectsFly In Fly Out Camp accommodation provided.Rotation (2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)Company Charter Flights provided - Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
• Contract Length: 6 months

We at Raise are hiring a Field Superintendent for one of our top clients, a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Description

The Field Superintendent has primary responsibility to ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements

Role Accountabilities:

• Review and/or develop detailed work plans according workface planning processes
• In some instances, the Field Superintendent may perform supervision of direct field labor on mechanical/piping scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high quality standard
• In some instances, the Field Superintendent will oversee the contractor’s activities of a mechanical/piping nature confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements
• Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies
• Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers
• Daily validation and approval of contractor submitted labor, equipment and material reports
• Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the operations team as required

Qualifications

• 10+ years of previous experience with multi-discipline mechanical work (mechanical equipment, piping)
• CSO designation required
• Journeyperson status in Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical is required
• Previous experience in a brown field construction environment is required
• Boilermaker and/or tank experience would be an asset
