Job description

How You Will Make Impact

As a Pharmacy Technician at Rexall, you’ll ensure excellence in patient care, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Your Patient focused responsibilities will include :

  • Responsible to ensure accurate process flow related to patient records retention
  • Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
  • Evaluate legality, interpret and input all prescriptions, labels and consent forms to ensure patient information is up to date and in the pharmacy’s computer system.
  • Complete documentation i.e. Third party management and reconciliation, patient files, prescriptions, printing reports, invoices etc.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and dispensary.
  • Support the pharmacy team with inventory management

How You Will Succeed

  • Completed a Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Bridging program from an accredited College (Required).
  • Successful completion of the PEBC Qualifying exam (Required).
  • Membership in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists (e.g. O.C.P.) (Required).
  • 1 year continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills; Windows proficiency required.
