Job SummarySupply Chain evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling. Directs an organization’s overall supply chain operations, including sourcing and selection of vendors, negotiating, and contracting, managing supplier relationships, managing inventory levels to ensure material availability, and managing systems to report on performance.

Key activities of a supply chain leader include : Strategic Planning : Supply chain leaders are responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the overall business objectives.

Operational Efficiency : Supply chain leaders are accountable for driving operational excellence within the supply chain, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.

Supplier Relationship Management : Effective supply chain leaders are responsible for managing relationships with suppliers and ensuring a reliable and responsive supplier network.

Demand Planning and Forecasting : Supply chain leaders oversee demand planning and forecasting activities to ensure the availability of products or services to meet customer demand.

Risk Management : Supply chain leaders are accountable for identifying and mitigating risks within the supply chain.Team Leadership and Development : Supply chain leaders are responsible for building and leading high-performing teams.

Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement : Supply chain leaders are accountable for measuring and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of the supply chain function.

Collaboration and Communication : Supply chain leaders need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, share information, and coordinate activities.

Key AccountabilitiesBuild positive collaborative relationships with existing supply base across all DHC Type Certificates.

Develop and Implement contemporary Supply Chain Metrics with Targeted Performance Levels.Develop sources for procuring supplies, services, and equipment.

Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.Establish agreements with suppliers to achieve cost reductions while maintaining delivery targets and quality requirements.

Participate in existing and new product planning processes.Procures quality items by ensuring all purchases are made according to the agreed specifications.

Ensure adequate inventory levels for the company’s operation.Participate in the design and implementation of ERP system.Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain.

Ensure processes meet regulatory standards under Transport Canada requirements.Manage inventory and establish controls.Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of the entire function.

Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.Lead and coach others in maintaining excellence on quality control, and safety.

Develop and manage departmental budgets accordingly.Establish annual goals and objectives.Develop and manage inventory strategies and policy.

Deliver targeted results including cost savings, supplier OTD and quality.Create and strategically adjust departments’ activities, policies and practices.

Instill industry best practices to drive state of the art supplier management standard work.Lead implementation of supply chain department policies and systems.

Develop, implement and sustain success metrics.Maintain responsibility for succession planning, organizational and talent development.

Develop and Implement a Supply Chain re-alignment strategy.EducationUniversity’s Bachelor’s Degree : Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or equivalent.

APICS Supply Chain Management Certification.Experience15+ years experience leading supply chain team(s) in procurement, contracting, supplier management.

Experience in aviation / aerospace or related regulated industry.Prior project lead experience, product or project launch preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
