Job description

The Opportunity

This hybrid work role, with extensive on-the-road travel, is ideal for a seasoned culinary professional with proven sales acumen who thrives in customer-facing roles and is passionate about bringing innovative commercial kitchen solutions to market. Candidates must reside in either Montreal, Toronto or Kelowna.

Position Description

In this unique, exciting, and important position, you would be responsible for planning and executing strategic sales activities, delivering dynamic culinary demonstrations, and expanding market presence in the assigned territory.

  • Lead engaging, live culinary demonstration events showcasing commercial kitchen solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Identify and develop customer relationships across foodservice and applicable commercial market segments.
  • Cultivate a strong referral and partner network (consultants, designers, and dealers).
  • Manage and grow regional sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM documentation (Salesforce).
  • Create and manage annual territory business plans and sales forecasts.
  • Attend and represent the brand at regional/national trade shows and events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regional developments impacting sales growth.

Experience

You bring hands-on culinary experience and have successfully moved beyond the back-of-house into a customer-focused, consultative sales role. You thrive in a structured, high-performance environment and have the discipline to navigate a regulated sales process with precision.

Your strong problem-solving skills allow you to turn technical knowledge into persuasive sales strategies, and you’re just as comfortable presenting in a commercial kitchen as you are in a corporate boardroom.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Chef combined with a sales background.
  • Professional culinary experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
  • Experience leading product demonstrations or culinary training sessions is strongly preferred.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Business is a plus; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively (up to 50% including international).
  • Bilingual (French/English) candidates preferred in Quebec regions.

Education

Degree in Culinary Arts or Business is a plus; equivalent work experience will be considered.
