Annual Salary : $105,000-130,000

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Combat and Systems Engineer is responsible for professionally and efficiently executing work in support of client taskings in the field of Combat and Systems Engineering. Additionally, this role will include developing courseware and providing in-person instruction to adults in a classroom environment.

• Provides Combat and Systems engineering advice and support to both internal and external clients demands.
• Trains, directs, and supports the work of team members allocated to engineering taskings.
• Develops and maintains courseware and instructional technologies in support of client training requirements.
• Presents instructional Combat Systems Engineering material in a classroom environment, in accordance with client requirements.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and / or participating in professional societies.
• Contributes technical specialist expertise, or practical knowledge, to internal discussions, R&D projects and billable tasks.
• As required, provides mentoring, training and guidance to junior engineers and technologists within BMT.
• Maintains a high level of knowledge and understanding of naval systems design rules and the implications of their application on ship and submarine design.
• Conducts technical assurance / review activities to ensure deliverables meet client requirements.

Additionally, the Senior Combat Systems Engineer / Technical Instructor may support the Combat & Systems Engineering team in various technical and project management work, such as :
