Job description

Tenure - Full Time, Permanent

Title - Community Manager (Residential Building & Tenant Services)

Location - Toronto, ON

Pay Range - $65k - $70k / annually

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administrative and resident services operations across multiple buildings, ensuring high standards of property appeal and resident satisfaction.
  • Manage and supervise on-site administrative and leasing staff, including training, scheduling, performance monitoring, and conducting reviews.
  • Conduct regular building, ground, and suite inspections, ensuring necessary maintenance and repairs are completed.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, oversee contractor work, and ensure quality control for all property-related services.
  • Assist in leasing vacant suites, including processing applications, conducting credit checks, and administering tenancy agreements.
  • Handle rent collection, banking procedures, issuing late payment notices, and attending Landlord and Tenant Board hearings when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records, oversee fire and life safety operations, and ensure compliance with governing legislation.
  • Participate in marketing and advertising initiatives, market surveys, and rental rate adjustments.
  • Liaise with accounting and payroll departments to ensure up-to-date financial records and timely reporting.
  • Organize tenant appreciation events and contribute to resident communications.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of Ontario legislation , including the Residential Tenancy Act, Employment Standards Act, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of building systems, HVAC operations, and general maintenance .
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills , along with experience in leasing and marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Yardi Voyager .
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
