Junior Program Manager
Job Description
Our client located in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a Junior Program Manager to support new development and sustaining programs / projects using Program Management tools, processes, and best practices. The Junior Project manager will lead, manage, coordinate and support administration and data analysis, along with effective KPI reporting, to ensure the successful execution of plans to meet program objectives.
CGD certificate required.
This will be a day shift position. (% onsite)
Pay rate will be $-$ / hr. ( Hours per week)
Starting from July th, 4 ( months contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create / Monitor Project Schedules to identify key risks and manage appropriate action plans to address identified risks.
- Create and maintain customer requirements document database for new development programs.
- Support Program Managers on NRC budget submissions and NRC cost tracking, and management via Quarterly Budget process and using Earned Value Management (EVM) monthly.
- Support NRC Cost Recovery initiatives by ensuring outstanding claims are tracked, and that the Commercial Manager has all required data to compile claims.
- Support Program Managers with additional tasks as required, including but not limited to one Project – from initial preparation through execution and progress monitoring.
- Support and facilitate PROMPT Toll Gate reviews.
- Support and facilitate documentation release per SDRLs.
- Support of Engineering MER and P audits.
- Coordinate the preparation and finalization of internal and customer PMR presentations with internal cross-functional IPT.
- Lead various internal meetings as required and maintain associated action registers and issue-related minute.
- Lead or participate in internal and Customer audit activities as required.
- Support North American Program Managers with Cost Reduction activities by leading the following :
Completion of feasibility studies on new cost reduction ideas.
Follow-up on open actions from cost reduction executive steer co. meetings.Support functional cost reduction workshops by coordinating required activities.Update presentation slides for Program Management Reviews.Manage change control board on development programs (prior to S9) to control cost and scope.Requirements
A Diploma / Degree in Business Administration or Operations Management (technical background would be an asset).Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Aerospace or related industry, preferably in a project management roleProject Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset.Extensive working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project, Access, MS Teams and SharePoint.,Good understanding of Manufacturing processes and production flows.Good financial acumen is a definite asset.Confident self-starter with the ability to work independently.Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and co-ordinate several projects at one time with aggressive deadlines.Ability to interface with Customers (Internal / External) and drive actions to closure.Proven team player with excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills.If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for to be successful in this role, please apply online, email or fax your resume to Rajwinder Kaur
