We are looking for Machine Operators to join our team in Milton, ON. This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule.
12 hour shifts rotate from day to night weekly .
You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.
12 hour shifts are (days and nights) 8 : 00 8 : 00

Your future team :
You will become part of the Operations team on the production line, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Each team has up to 9 team members who work together to produce high quality stone wool products.

What you bring :

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and ability to work in a safe manner
- Prior experience in machine set-up and computers
- Good understanding of how equipment operates to clear equipment safely
- Forklift experience / certification
What you will be doing :
- Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace
- Report quantity of deficiencies and the cause
- Separate waste
- Report all irregularities related to the work of subordinate devices
- Partner with Maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment and safe removal of failures and / or machine problems
- Inform supervisor and relevant shifts of any problems or tasks in need of attention
- Plan efficient product changes
- Communicate unusual conditions, equipment issues, or reasons for change of production volume to cross shift operator
- Complete shutdown tasks and procedures
Work Environment & Conditions :
- Fast-paced high volume production facility
- Must be able to stand / walk on concrete floors for 12 hours per day
- Ability to lift 60 lbs alone and 120 lbs with another person
- Ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height
- Ability to wear protective safety equipment for several hours daily
