There are (3) casual vacancies available that will help to support the Valley Drive Group Home. The successful candidates must be able to work shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Shifts are 12 hours in length, from 7 : 00 to 7 : 00. Child Care Workers may work alone with 1-2 youth or as part of a Team with up to 6 youth.
The Child Care Worker (CWW) is responsible for the daily care and direct supervision of the youth placed in a staffed resource unit. The CWW creates a physically safe and emotionally nurturing environment designed to assist the youth in learning to cope and function positively, both in the home and in the community. Duties may include, but are not limited to, preparing meals, helping youth maintain good hygiene, organizing and actively participating in activities; keeping records of progress, routines, and interests; providing transportation as needed; assisting with activities of daily living while following all relevant legislation and Agency policies and procedures .
