Job description

Title : Performance Engineer

Location : Toronto ,Ontario

Duration : 6 Months

Join our team as a Performance Engineer and play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our systems and applications. You will be a key player in test planning, preparation, and execution activities, and will work closely with various teams to coordinate testing efforts and ensure seamless project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6-8 years of experience in performance engineering and testing
Strong foundation in programming and scripting
Understanding of RESTful API design
Understanding of DevOps and Agile Methodology
Understanding of Three-tier web architecture pattern and Client-Server model
Experience with Garbage Collection Analysis and Server / Host Capacity Analysis

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with BlazeMeter and any other APM tools (e.g., App Dynamics, New Relic)

Knowledge of cloud computing and IBM PMAT

Familiarity with NodeJS Frameworks such as ExpressJS, KeystoneJS, SocketIO

Experience with Bootstrap CSS framework, Git, Bit Bucket, MongoDB

Proficiency in writing SQL queries, Confluence, Python, Jython, Java, C#, Ruby, VBA for Excel

Experience with Jenkins, Continuous Integration, Splunk, Jira, HP ALM

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead test planning, preparation, and execution activities

Analyze, develop, debug, execute, and maintain complex automated test cases

Coordinate testing planning and support with partners

Lead documentation creation, review, and sign-off

Apply risk analysis methodologies and tools

Ensure testing does not impact the production environment

Chair daily defect status calls and report on test planning and execution

Build, maintain test environments, monitor, troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues

Coordinate code deployments, maintenance upgrades, and project testing

Communicate and address scope changes that may impact testing

Identify and track resources needed to cover projects

Use tools to develop and maintain virtualized services, components, and environments
