Distribution Production Scheduler
Location : East Gwillimbury, ON
Department : Distribution
Pay Rate : $24-$26 / hr
Schedule :
Monday to Friday - 6 : 00AM-2 : 30PM
Monday to Friday - 2 : 30PM-11 : 00PM
Role Overview
The Distribution Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling outbound order processing within distribution operations. This role focuses on daily production planning, capacity analysis, and coordination across systems and teams to ensure outbound goals are met efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily outbound order processing based on capacity and inventory availability
- Analyze and schedule special order requirements, including expedites, reserved inventory, value-added services, substitutions, and customer-specific requests
- Maintain and manage Warehouse Management System (WMS) databases and control settings related to outbound planning
- Write and maintain SQL rules to support wave planning and execution
- Coordinate posting of reserved inventory across allocatable warehouses
- Review and resolve exception orders, inventory imbalances, and availability issues
- Test, review, and support updates to order planning and waving tools
- Recommend and implement approved system control changes
- Develop and deliver management reports on outbound production performance
- Create ad hoc system queries and reports as requested
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environmentHands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred
Bachelor’s DegreeExperience with PKMS or Manhattan Associates WMS (WMOS)Previous warehouse or distribution center leadership experienceExperience as a WMS super user or WMS trainerAdvanced skills in database queries, reporting tools, and spreadsheetsSkills & Competencies
Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilitiesStrong organizational and decision-making skillsAbility to coordinate across departments (warehouse, customer service, transportation, sales)Comfortable working with large data sets and operational systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environmentWork Environment
