Then we have a position for you!PURPLEFARM is one of Canada’s premier craft cannabis producers. Coming from the legacy market, PURPLEFARM currently operates a 12,000 sq ft facility out of Johnstown, Ontario and has expanded into Fredericton, New Brunswick to operate a 90,000 sq ft facility.

We are looking for a CULTIVATION MANAGER to run our Cultivation department in our Fredericton, N.B. location to ensure our product is of the highest craft quality.

Responsibilities would include :

• Leading the Company’s cannabis cultivation department at its facility, located at 40 Blizzard Street, Fredericton, New Brunswick, E3B 8K1 (“the Facility”). Note that occasional travel to Ottawa and Johnstown is required.
• Managing and overseeing the work performed by cultivation team members.
• Onboarding, review, discipline and coach cultivation personnel in coordination with Human Resources.
• Oversee and manage the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) schedule with the IPM Specialist, Operations Manager, Cultivation Director and / or CEO.
• Oversee and manage the fertigation schedule and feeding for all rooms with the Fertigation Specialist, Operations Manager, Cultivation Director and / or CEO.
• Ensuring staff are trained on and uphold, cultivation standard operating procedures, in consultation with the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Ensuring staff properly use compliance software.
• Monitoring plant health and making corrections as required.
• In conjunction with the Operations Manager, ensuring that all necessary cultivation supplies are stocked and ordered from vendors on time to meet organizational needs.
• Execute the cultivation schedule to ensure optimal and efficient use of grow-room spaces, including mother rooms, propagations, vegetative space, and flower space as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Working closely with Building Automation Systems (“BAS”), Facility Managers, Operations Manager and Cultivation Director to achieve optimal cultivation environments.
• Analyzing and reporting to the Operations Manager and senior management on cultivation trends, problems, and upcoming tasks.
• Working with Post-Production Manager for drying and packaging the Company’s product.
• Participate in achieving and maintaining our EUGMP certification.
• Participating in educational material for our cultivation staff.
• Coordinating with sanitation staff as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
