Job description

Randstad is looking for a strong Accounting Clerk for a long term contract position. The Accounting Clerk

will be primarily responsible for Accounts Payable processing in a fast paced environment. The

Accounting Clerk will also be responsible for Accounts Receivable duties including cash receipts and

follow up collection calls.

Responsibilities

Reconcile vendor accounts balance and accounts payable balance

Check for accurate coding of GL entries, including the allocations of costs

Make appropriate accounting entries to reflect transactions

Follow up with vendor credits and ensure vendor credits are taken and applied on a timely basis

Administer expense report reimbursement process

Check authorizations and account coding

Perform data entry for vendor invoices

Communicate directly with vendors to resolve payment and other queries

Maintain the Accounts Payable mailbox – reply to vendors’ inquiries, and manage online

invoices

File processed invoices

Assist in month-end activities such as accrual entries

Generate invoices and account statements

Perform some account reconciliations

Update all daily cash receipts to the system

Confirming daily deposits with the bank account

Maintain accounts receivable files and records

Investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries

Provide other accounting support as required

Qualifications

Experience in account management and customer service

ERP experience is an asset

Excellent communication / presentation skills and ability to build relationships.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.

Fluent in English

Excellent computer and keyboarding skills with a mandatory requirement in Outlook, Word,

Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Windows
