For more information, follow Telesat on X and LinkedIn or visit www.telesat.comOur Software Development team architects, develops, tests and maintains the Telesat Lightspeed System Model application, a state-of-the-art engineering software tool running on high performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for the modeling of resource allocation and end-to-end communication system performance analysis of the Telesat Lightspeed satellite constellation. As a Software Tester, the selected candidate will ensure the quality and reliability of the System Model Matlab codebase through effective and automated software testing. The selected candidate will develop, enhance and maintain a framework for unit testing, end-to-end testing and continuous integration using tools such as GitLab, Git Runners, and Slurm-based HPC resources.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases and continuous integration for the System Model within the Matlab environment
- Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design test strategies accordingly
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure using GitLab, Git Runners, and Slurm-based HPC resources.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing, to ensure code quality.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage test environments, ensuring their stability and availability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software testing and automation
Education and Experience required :
