Job description

Randstad Operational is currently seeking a motivated and technically-minded Manufacturing Technician for a premier client in Woodstock, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within the manufacturing & logistics sector, scheduled to begin in February 2026. At Randstad, we are global leaders in talent solutions, and our recruiters are industry experts dedicated to connecting high-quality talent with the best employers in Ontario.

If you are looking to advance your career as a Manufacturing Technician, this role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge robotics and automated systems. Our client is a leader in the industrial space, and they are looking for someone who brings precision and a proactive attitude to their production team. Whether you are looking for long-term stability or professional development, this manufacturing & logistics role in Woodstock is designed to help you reach your goals.

In this position, you will be stationed at a state-of-the-art facility in Woodstock, where you will oversee the daily performance of automated machinery. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all robotics and fixed automation equipment are functioning at peak capacity. This requires a high level of technical aptitude and the ability to work within the fast-paced environment typical of the manufacturing & logistics industry.

Working in Woodstock as a Manufacturing Technician, you will not only operate equipment but also act as a first line of defense for quality control. You will interpret complex machine readouts and adjust settings to maintain the rigorous standards required by the automotive and industrial sectors. This role falls under our Randstad Operational specialization, meaning you will have the support of a recruitment partner that understands the technical demands of manufacturing & logistics.

While this position is located in Woodstock, Ontario, please note that a small portion of the Manufacturing Technician role may involve reviewing technical manuals or safety specifications that require advanced English proficiency. Clear communication is essential to ensure that the manufacturing & logistics site remains safe and productive. You will be part of a team that promotes a positive culture and values your contribution to World Class Manufacturing standards.

Skills

  • Mandatory experience in an automated environment with a focus on robotics.
  • Proven ability to home and troubleshoot robotic systems independently.
  • Proficiency in following visual work instructions for complex assembly or machine tasks.
  • General mathematical skills for tracking production metrics and scrap percentages.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and handling heavy industrial components.
  • Competency in using computerized systems for data recording and part traceability.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with the manufacturing & logistics team.
  • Deep understanding of quality management principles and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to minimize downtime on the production line.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

Advantages

  • Competitive wage range of $21.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience.
  • Full-time hours (40–50 hours per week) in a stable, growing industry.
  • Opportunity to work in a modern facility located conveniently in Woodstock.
  • Be part of a dynamic, progressive organization that values its employees.
  • Career growth opportunities within the manufacturing & logistics sector.
  • A positive work environment that emphasizes both safety and work-life balance.
  • Guidance and support from Randstad’s expert recruiters throughout your employment.
  • Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated manufacturing equipment, specifically robotics and fixed automation systems.
  • Interpret machine readouts and adjust parameters to account for material variances and quality thresholds.
  • Perform frequent quality inspections to ensure all products meet the high standards of the Woodstock facility.
  • Assist with machine changeovers by operating overhead cranes to swap industrial fixtures.
  • Set up and calibrate pre-programmed automation systems for daily production runs.
  • Record precise production data in computerized systems, including hourly output, scrap, and downtime.
  • Maintain strict part traceability through accurate data entry and logging.
  • Conduct thorough pre-shift cell inspections to ensure all safety guards and mechanical components are functional.
  • Identify and report safety or production concerns to management before equipment start-up.
  • Execute end-of-shift housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe manufacturing & logistics environment.
  • Contribute to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, including OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
  • Support the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Utilize knowledge of welding or automated welding processes to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience specifically working with robotics.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing facility with a focus on quality management.
  • Ability to provide proof of education and complete advanced language testing.
