Join the County of Elgin as anAssistant Archivist!Position Title: Assistant Archivist Type:Permanent Full-time Non-unionCompensation: $35.80 $41.88 per hour ($65172.07 - $76221.24 per year)Hours: 35 hours per weekVacancy: 1 existing vacancyAbout the Role:Working as part of a collaborative team in the Department of Community and Cultural Services the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks relating to the operation of the Elgin County Archives and the corporate records management program. Your responsibilities include:Provide reference services to the public and County archival collections including basic preservation arrangement and and store materials according to established archival access to the archival collection for all interested parties such as local municipalities. Digitization and Internet related projects. Promote the archives in the community including regular contributions to the archives social media channels. Maintain and provide accessibility to archival databases.
