What You’ll Do (Your Day-to-Day)
Sales Strategy & Execution :
Lead the Sales Strategy : Develop and execute a plan to grow our client base, focusing on family-owned industrial businesses in Ontario.Close Deals : Manage the entire sales process, from first contact to signed contract.Build Relationships : Identify, engage, and nurture potential clients—turning cold leads into long-term partnerships.Collaborate Closely : Work with our marketing team to align sales efforts with lead generation campaigns.Drive Results : Meet and exceed revenue targets, with clear KPIs and milestones.Business Development :
Expand Our Reach : Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key markets.Lead the Conversation : Conduct discovery calls, present tailored solutions, and deliver compelling proposals that generate results.Build Relationships : Engage with potential clients, nurturing connections into long-term partnerships.Unlock Opportunities : Identify upsell and cross-sell potential for existing clients, ensuring they get the most value from our services.Leadership & Team Development :
Lead the Way : As the first sales hire, set the foundation for a high-performing sales team as the company scales.Establish the Playbook : Within 90 days, develop and implement a sales playbook to streamline processes and drive consistency.Build the Team : Recruit, manage, and mentor future sales representatives, setting clear performance expectations.Sales Operations & Reporting :
Keep It on Track : Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting in HubSpot.Measure Success : Track key sales metrics and deliver regular performance reports.Refine & Improve : Continuously evolve sales strategies based on data, insights, and feedback.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Your success in this role will be measured by the following metrics :
Revenue Generation : Achieve $500K+ in new business revenue within the first year.Pipeline Development : Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads with clear stages and timelines.Sales Conversion : Achieve a 25%+ lead-to-client conversion rate.Client Retention & Growth : Ensure at least 25% client retention rate.Leadership & Collaboration : Develop a sales playbook within the first 90 days.What’s In It for You?
