Our client is a sophisticated entity operating in the financial services and investment sectors. It has extensive in-house legal expertise and employs several lawyers grouped into specialized teams.

This employer is currently seeking a legal advisor with approximately 3 to 7 years of tangible experience in derivatives law and financial market regulation to join its regulatory affairs team.

Several specific responsibilities are associated with this role, but essentially, it involves advising this entity on legal, contractual, and regulatory issues related to its functions and activities.

This position also involves commercial law, as the chosen candidate will be required to negotiate, draft, and interpret a wide range of commercial agreements. He will also be called upon to provide advice on various regulated areas and markets.

The ideal candidate will be able to navigate gray areas and be comfortable working in a complex and changing regulatory environment. Experience in commercial, corporate, securities, or compliance law within a major law firm, financial institution, or investment company will be considered a significant asset.
