ABOUT YOU / /
The Marketing Coordinator at Matthew McCormick Studio is, by nature, a creative storyteller who loves designing beautiful content and experimenting with new ways to reach our target audiences (ie.
Interior Designers and Architects). This role will work closely with our sales and design teams, with day-to-day marketing activities aligning with our company goals and strategies.
A proven team player who is comfortable executing marketing plans across all channels and platforms, you love creating a steady flow of engaging content through on-brand messaging to the right people.
Whether it be sharing a peek into a design meeting or making a video of our assembly team in the workshop, this role is perfect for someone who likes a task list with variety.
No day is ever the same!
Responsible for leading day-to-day, tactical marketing projects that push our monthly sales initiatives, the ideal person for this role will be comfortable managing online platforms, graphic design and editing programs to create e-newsletters, sales collateral and social posts.
This person will work closely with the Managing Director and sales team to strategize ways that exemplify the Matthew McCormick Studio brand and successfully contribute to our bottom line.
THE BREAD + BUTTER / /
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT : Create engaging content per weekly content calendar for use across social media, blog, sponsored posts / ads etc. that may include :
- Graphic design / photo editing
- Video production / editing
- Instagram and Pinterest posts
- Some light copywriting
DIGITAL MEDIA : Manage and support the growth of online platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Blog, etc.). Social engagement metrics and trends will be tracked via Google Analytics (GA4) to help pinpoint content that drives site traffic and conversion.
WEBSITE / ONLINE STORE : Maintains online store and trade portal content (website) through updates via Squarespace, keeping SEO and user experience in mind.
TARGETED MARKETING CAMPAIGNS : Maintain and engage with our client database through regular outreach campaigns including e-newsletters, e-mail blasts, sponsored posts and physical mailers.
SALES TOOLS : In hand with the creative team / designers, oversee the development and upkeep of sales tools in support of the Sales Team as required (ie.
product cards, look books, project photo repository, etc.)
OTHER :
- Trade event support assist in tradeshow or MMS event planning needs
- Contribute to the creative vision and content strategy for "briefcase" - the new, more experimental arm of our business
- Data + research - identify upcoming social and marketing trends for new growth opportunities, generate and distribute surveys to key clients, etc.
- Support advertising program coordinate online ad schedule / spend through Google Ads, Pinterest and Instagram
- Assist Managing Director in execution of PR initiatives (as required)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE / /
Required :
- BA in marketing, digital media, communications or equivalent education and experience
- 1+ year(s) of experience or combination of personal experiences in a marketing-related role, specifically creating digital content
- Experience with third-party web applications including Later, Google Analytics, Squarespace, Mailchimp and Canva
- Thorough understanding of marketing tools and strategies that support sales (both traditional and digital)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically with photo editing (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and various video editing software
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft 365
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, and strong interpersonal skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and willing to jump in whenever needed
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Inclusive, collaborative, and adaptable
- Good understanding of current trends and primary players in the design industry is considered an asset

The current salary band for this position is $46,000 - $60,000.
