CAD / CAM Technical Specialist (CNC Programming & Manufacturing Technology)

Job Overview

The CAD / CAM Technical Specialist acts as the critical bridge between engineering design and physical production. The primary function of this role is to interpret technical drawings and generate precise digital manufacturing data (G‑Code) to drive production machinery. The specialist works directly on the production floor to program, simulate, and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring that raw materials are converted into finished structural components with zero errors and minimal waste and according to the code.

Responsibilities

Core Manufacturing Programming

• Review complex CAD drawings (2D and 3D) and convert them into machine‑readable cut files (G‑Code) for production.
• Determine the optimal sequence of operations. The specialist must decide whether a job requires the JNTECH Router (for rigid materials like PTFE / Thermal Break) or the Xiao Digital Knife (for soft elastomers / thermal foams).
• Manage the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) logic. Set up digital tool libraries and verify physical tool rack positions to ensure seamless tool changes during complex multi‑stage jobs.
