Overview :

Global X is looking for an Analyst, Product Strategy to join our dynamic team in the Canadian and Global ETF Market. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and attentive individual. As an Analyst, Product Strategy, you will play a crucial role in conducting market and product research, assisting with product development and product management initiatives, and ensure the successful launch and ongoing management of our ETFs. This is an opportunity to join Canada’s most innovative ETF provider as a key member of the Product Strategy Team.

Responsibilities :

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving investor preferences.
  • Analyze and produce competitive intel through analysis of asset flows, competitor activities, industry developments, and communicate key findings to internal teams.
  • Support business case development for new ETFs through thorough data analysis and feasibility assessments.
  • Assist in the development of new ETFs, this includes conducting in-depth ETF market research, qualifying investor demand, and analyzing competitor offerings to identify potential product opportunities.
  • Support product launches with the preparation of training and education materials for key internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and assess the performance and flows of existing ETFs against industry peers. Provide recommendations for adjustments or enhancements based on data-driven insights.

Skills and Experience :

  • 1 - 3 years of financial services experience (including co-op and internship programs), with demonstrated knowledge and interest in investing
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Python and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Nice to have :

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct or other financial data platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with indexing and understanding of index methodologies is a plus
  • Proficiency in developing and structuring PowerPoint presentations is a plus
  • Completion of CFA Level 1 is a plus
