As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to drive people-centered initiatives and provide strategic guidance in all aspects of HR management.Position OverviewThe Human Resources Manager will manage the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee relations, professional development and off boarding. This role will manage the development and execution of HR strategies, policies, and practices in alignment with our firm’s goals.Your Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & Engagement
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all firm members and understand how each firm member contributes to the success of the team and the business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for firm members regarding HR policies and workplace concerns.
- Champion a positive and supportive work environment that values equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Plan and coordinate firm-wide initiatives such as Staff Appreciation, Take Our Kids to Work Day, and Long-Term Service recognition.HR Management, Policy Development & Compliance
- Provide support and guidance to firm leadership on all aspects of workforce management.
- Facilitate change management initiatives and communication strategies to support firm-wide goal and the business.
- Lead initiatives to foster high engagement and strong retention.
- Manage the payroll, benefits, and compensation processes and programs.
- Develop and implement HR policies ensuring compliance with provincial legislation (e.g., ESA, health and safety, accessibility).
- Manage workplace accommodation requests, leaves of absence and return-to-work programs.Performance Management
- Implement and manage the performance review process.
- Coach and counsel leadership and employees on performance management including action plans, progressive discipline, and terminations.Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for legal, administrative and support roles.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define role requirements and job postings.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition and success for new hires.A bit about you
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- CHRL designation or CHRP with equivalent experience, an asset.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in coaching, counseling, and guiding leadership on HR matters.
- Excellent judgement, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to maintain effective relationships.

- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential and privileged information.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
