Job description

CIMA is looking for a technician to join our building electricity team in the metropolitan area. At the heart of building electrical projects this role will require you to participate in the design of plans and models carry out surveys and assist the engineering team in the realization of projects in the commercial industrial institutional and hospital sectors. This position is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and to be part of a team of engineers technicians and draftsperson carrying out challenging projects as well as to evolve in a passionate team where initiative and trust are strongly encouraged.

We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement that allows you to work from home and from one of our offices in the Greater Montreal area.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the electrical design of the building such as electrical distribution lighting including AGI32 calculations fire alarms etc.
  • Carry out field surveys and plan surveys
  • Produce plans and models using AutoCAD and REVIT software
  • Ensure compliance with norms and standards for drawings and models
  • Conduct site visits and participate in certain stages of work supervision
  • Participate in calculations and equipment searches under the supervision of the project engineer

Qualifications :

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in a field related to electricity electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of building electrical codes and regulations
  • Minimum three years relevant experience
  • Good command of REVIT and AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of AGI 32 lighting calculation software (an asset)
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French
  • ASP Construction card (an asset)
  • Valid drivers license
