Painter

The Byng Group is a leading interior renovation general contractor with over 50 years of experience and a team of more than 500 employees, specializing in high-rise rental properties.

We are seeking experienced Painters to join our team in Owen Sound and Collingwood.

Responsibilities

• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, hallways, and shelving in apartment units.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and plastering.
• Fill in nicks and cuts in ceilings, walls, and partitions using plaster.
• Repair walls with drywall.
• Sand areas after each coat to make drywall paint-ready.
• Perform drywall repairs, taping, and plastering.
• Drywall installation experience is considered an asset.
• Framing with metal studs is considered an asset.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Own tools required; tools are not supplied.
• Focus on quality and speed.
• Ability to problem-solve on-site and off-site.
• Ability to follow and complete daily, weekly, and monthly task schedules.
