Development Miner – Hoyle Pond Mine Site
The Development Miner is expected to perform a range of duties including scaling, mucking, installing ground support and / or reinforcement using shotcrete, drift excavation (face drilling, loading and blasting). The successful individual must exhibit a safety approach and ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties.
Schedule – 14 / 14 rotating between days and nights – 10.5 hour shifts.
Qualifications
- Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
- Must have Modules U0004, U0005 and U0006
- Previous Jackleg / Stoper experience required
- Ability to read and understand designed ground support plans
Accountabilities
Ensure you follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements including the use of personal protective equipment.Ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently while performing activities such as (but not limited to) drifting, slashing, drilling rounds, blasting, ground support / bolting, drilling production holes, mucking and installing services.Must comply with all Manroc and client policies, procedures and standards.Ensure that all goals and targets are met to guarantee success of the project while staying focused on safety.Ensure all hazards are reported in accordance with relevant procedures.Ensure the return of all unused materials to proper storage locations. This also includes proper housekeeping of work areas.Seniority level
