ST. THOMAS MORE COLLEGIATE Invites applications for : Teacher Teaching On-Call (TTOC) St. Thomas More Collegiate, a progressive co-ed Blessed Edmund Rice Christian Brother Catholic Independent high school in Burnaby, B.

C., is seeking experienced and qualified educators in the Applied Skills, Christian Education (Religion), English Language Arts, the Fine & Performing Arts, French, Mathematics, Physical & Health Education, Science, and Social Studies for our External Teacher Teaching On-Call (TTOC) list for the 2022-2023 school year.

You will be part of a collaborative teaching team supporting the positive growth and development of our young Knights. Potential candidates must be a member, or be in the process of becoming a member, of the British Columbia College of Teachers.

The school also looks favourably upon those candidates that are willing to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.

Letters of application, accompanied by a resume, and the names of two referees, will be accepted throughout the school year.

Ethan Shoemaker via [email protected] will have the following qualifications, experiences and abilities : Must either hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate, be in the process of applying, or be eligible for an Independent School Teaching Certificate.

Undergraduate degree in a teachable area. A comprehensive understanding of current educational practices outlined in the BC Ministry of Education documents.

Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills. Ability to build collaborative and effective relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.

Foster supportive relationships with students and families. Implement a range of authentic learning assessments that provide timely feedback to students and a clear direction for parents.

Knowledge of differing learning needs and a toolbox of strategies for facilitating student success. Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal and relationship skills.
