Accountant – Property Management (Nisku Office)

We are hiring a detail‑oriented and reliable Accountant to join a well‑established organization in Nisku (position is onsite). This is a full‑cycle accounting role supporting multiple companies within the group, with a strong focus on property management and real‑estate development accounting. The position is a 3‑month contract starting ASAP, with potential for extension and / or permanency.

What you’ll do

• Manage full‑cycle accounting across multiple entities and GLs
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and oversee AP / AR
• Complete occupancy cost calculations, semi‑annual reconciliations, and true‑ups
• Maintain asset accounting, amortization schedules, and loan / financing tracking
• Handle property tax reporting, WCB filings, and GST returns for multiple companies
• Act as a liaison for insurance administration (building changes, tenant coverage, auto policies)
• Support year‑end review engagements and auditor inquiries
• Produce accurate monthly financial statements (typically by the 20th)
• Utilize Sage 50 and Excel for day‑to‑day accounting operations
• Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks, cleanup, and process improvements as needed
• Help streamline and rebuild existing processes where required
