Job description

PrecisionERP / IT is recruiting for an Intermediate Desktop Engineering / Infrastructure Specialist for a HYBRID project for initial 6 months to start either in Toronto, London or Winnipeg offices. MUST be able to work 3 days onsite in order to apply.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and maintain patching and compliance policies, procedures, and schedules in alignment with the organization's security and IT strategy.
  • Review regular vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify and prioritize patching and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute patching and compliance activities for desktop devices, including Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms.
  • Ensure that patching and compliance activities are performed with minimal disruption to end users and business operations.
  • Monitor and report on the status and performance of patching and compliance activities, using tools such as SCCM, Intune, Jamf, and Splunk. Investigate and resolve any issues or incidents related to patching and compliance, such as patch failures, compatibility issues, or policy violations.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • 5 years of experience in desktop engineering, patching, and compliance, preferably in a large and complex IT environment.
  • Ability to script and automate (PowerShell experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge and experience with patching and compliance tools and technologies, such as SCCM, Intune, Jamf, Splunk, WSUS, and Group Policy.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with desktop operating systems and applications, such as Windows, Mac, Office 365, Java, and Adobe.
  • Good understanding of patching and compliance standards, such as NIST, PCI, and ISO, and endpoint detection and response solutions such as Defender and Rapid7.
