Job Summary
Under the direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer protects the casino’s assets, controls access, escorts guests, provides first aid and records incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, and suspicious activities.
- Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons.
- Observe transactions, slot drops, chip fills and transfer items to Lost & Found.
- Perform identification checks for any guest who appears under 30.
- Refer disputes to the Supervisor or Security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as assigned.
- Escort guests and team members.
- Perform crowd control as directed.
- Attend to first aid incidents.
- Assist Supervisor with enrolling guests in the Self‑Exclusion program.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications and
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.Two (2) years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry.Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.Previous experience or training in security is an asset.Occupational First Aid Level 2 is an asset.Serving It Right certification.Inquisitive, investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviors or transactions and make sound judgments based on this.A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.Computer literacy in MS Office.Able to organize data with great accuracy.Knowledge of privacy legislation is an asset.Self‑motivator and ability to inspire other team members in enhancing the guest experience within the entertainment business.Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.Ability to follow rules, regulations, policies and procedures at all times.Must be able to work independently, without close direct supervision, and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure.Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.Benefits
