JOB OVERVIEW
The Real Estate and Development Branch is looking for a talented Real Estate Advisor – Asset Management to join our team and share our passion for striving for excellence.
In the Real Estate Advisor role, you will provide subject matter expertise in the areas of Real Estate strategic portfolio asset management and will be responsible for the administration of various real estate activities and tasks related to Built Asset Management. You will manage a variety of analyses, inspections, and reporting focused on real estate strategies in support of NCC's Real Estate and Development portfolio. You will also lead internal working teams for the planning, design and implementation of portfolio objectives related to strategic asset management of buildings. In addition, as a Real Estate Advisor, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of the NCC`s Major project priorities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in real estate asset management, engineering, building science, or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience providing real estate advisory services, including :
- providing leadership and oversight in the management of capital planning and asset management strategies;
- coordinating and managing inspection programs of built assets;
- providing recommendations to senior management regarding prioritization of capital budgets related to built assets.
KNOWLEDGE
Of principles and theories associated with asset management, maintenance, and investment analysis in support of sustainable asset management and long-term capital planning.Of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.ABILITIES

Primarily working in a controlled office environment with little exposure to unpleasant conditions.Frequently driving to and walking through properties owned and managed by the NCC.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.Linguistic profile : Bilingual BBB.Possess a valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent).Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently asked to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
