Job description

Adecco is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Chiller Design Engineer to join our client's team in Brantford, ON. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller system design. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing and developing chiller and pump packages for a range of industrial and commercial applications, while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.

Location : Brantford, ON

Shift : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm

Job type : Permanent | Full-time Responsibilities :

Design and develop chiller and pump packages for various industrial and commercial applications.

Create and manage Bill of Materials for chiller designs, ensuring accuracy and timely release to production teams.

Create detailed engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or similar software.

Work with production teams to resolve design or production issues, optimizing material usage and assembly processes in a custom-made-to-order environment.

Participate in R&D efforts, including heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculations, exploring new components and technologies, and designing prototypes.

Perform lab testing on prototypes, ensuring functionality and performance, and provide recommendations for design improvements.

Ensure designs meet regulatory standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.

Collaborate with both onsite and remote engineering teams to ensure alignment on design specifications and project goals.

Perform other tasks as required to support the engineering and production teams. Requirements :

Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

3+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller system design.

Extensive knowledge of 2-D and 3-D CAD software. Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems / components, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Experience with Microsoft Office Products and other relevant software programs.
