Position

Agro Advisor (II)

Full‑time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays

Responsibilities

• Provide superior service and technical advice to Central Alberta Co‑op guests
• Provide field scouting as requested and relay the findings to the guests and to the other agronomy team
• Work with Agronomy team, Site supervisor and Agro Manager as required
• Be responsible for pricing, providing competitive intel, sales and inventory management of crop protection products
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customer base
• Actively pursue and encourage cross‑marketing of products and services with growers
• Soil sampling and analysis of their results, consulting a more senior agronomist if required
• Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, shipping and delivery of products
• Work with the location team to ensure timely delivery of products and services
• Attend supplier events to stay up to date on current trends and products
• Be familiar with and follow all Central Alberta Co‑op policies and procedures, AWSA regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Agriculture or a related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in the agriculture or crop input industry
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• WHMIS and TDG certification (or willingness to complete)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak seasons
• Strong team player with a proactive, goal‑driven attitude and commitment to ongoing learning
