Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs)

Health Association Nova Scotia is partnering with the Department of Seniors and Long-term Care to provide recruitment support to continuing care employers in Nova Scotia. There are numerous opportunities across the  Eastern  Zone .

Responsibilities :

• Assisting clients with various personal care activities (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Assist clients with meals and between meal refreshments.
• Provide respite for families and care givers.
• Documentation (e.g., reporting client concerns, progress notes, incident reports).
• Engage residents / families in leisure / recreational programs.

We hire both CCAs and CCAITs. Salary range is dependent on employer and CCA status.

Certified Continuing Care Assistant means a continuing care assistant who has been certified under the Continuing Care Assistant certification program and has been added to the Registry for Continuing Care Assistants.
