Data Analyst Power BI (MONTREAL – CONTRACT ROLE)
As a Data Analyst Power BI, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing data solutions to drive data visualization and deliver actionable insights across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining automated reporting and dashboard solutions that empower data-driven decision-making and improve analytics workflows throughout the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing scalable, reliable, and secure analytics infrastructure that supports business goals and operational efficiency.
Your Mission
As part of the Data Analytics team, your primary objective is to actively contribute to the company’s data strategy by building robust, scalable dashboards and reports using Power BI. You will leverage automation tools to manage and implement analytics solutions that ensure continuous data integration, testing, and deployment, resulting in high availability and rapid delivery of business value.
Your Role & Main Responsibilities
Define and enforce best practices for analytics automation, including data refresh schedules, monitoring, and testing of BI solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow between Power BI and other cloud platforms.
Drive enhancements in data delivery, automation, and analytics scalability through advanced BI practices.
Maintain secure and compliant data management across multiple environments and regions utilizing Azure and Power BI services.
Your Qualifications
Soft Skills
Proactive, collaborative, and eager to contribute across all project phases.
Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus).
Passionate about driving digital innovation and supporting business success through modern analytics and BI practices.
Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
At least 8 years of industry experience in data analytics, with advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and scripting languages (Python, R).
Minimum 4 years of experience leading analytics or BI projects.
Proven expertise in designing, building, and optimizing data solutions using Power BI.
Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI, including the creation, maintenance, and optimization of dashboards for analytics projects.
Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, data modeling, and workflow management tools (Data Factory, Power Automate).
Experience working with large datasets and stream-processing tools (Spark, Azure Stream Analytics).
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, CosmosDb).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
