Schedule

Standard shift is 7 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm daily but may change based on needs of the department

Shift

Monday to Friday but weekends may be needed for other distribution duties

Position Summary :

The Material Handler is responsible for but not limited to receiving product and equipment inventory control and inventory reconciliations. As well stocking and rotation of area carts the Stores area where applicable and movement of goods throughout the hospital. Effective and timely communications with any supplies issues to key stakeholders within the hospital.

This role will be responsible for verifying accuracy of shipments and receiving purchase orders in Meditech to ensure a smooth and efficient payment process for suppliers. The role will also be accountable for Stores inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts.

The physical requirements of this role are extensive and include constant walking of corridors stairs ramps uneven surfaces tight spaces reaching squatting kneeling and pushing / lifting of moderate to heavy weights. Exceptional dexterity is required. This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs. when required. The working hours are day shifts and if needed weekends including statutory holidays.

This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe and positive environment for patients staff and visitors. Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.
