Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for performing day to day Accounts Receivable activities with a high level of accuracy
  • Manage customer electronic and non-electronic payments, including returned payments that need to be rectified
  • Perform payment applications when required both in SAP and in HighRadius
  • Review and reconcile accounting transactions
  • Process miscellaneous journal entry adjustments
  • Respond to incoming email inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Identify opportunities to ensure essential tasks are completed as accurately and efficiently as possible
  • Continuously monitor, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the department through electronic solutions and automation
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of AR automation & transformation projects
  • Identify control gaps and recommend appropriate remediation
  • Become a subject matter expert to help train colleagues on the team
  • Perform ad-hoc activities and management requests as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of previous applicable industry experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to comfortably engage with business partners and contribute to excellent customer experience
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating facts, raising call outs and driving rational solutions for optimal results
  • Aptitude to understand business processes and firm determination to implement required process improvements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to simultaneously manage multiple requests and priorities
  • Be flexible and able to effectively work with the team and adapt to change in a positive manner
  • Intermediate experience with Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Access, and Outlook)
  • Data entry skills and the ability to manage large volume of data
  • Previous experience with SAP would be considered an asset
  • Very good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Be flexible and able to effectively work with the team and adapt to change in a positive manner.
