Design Engineer III

Overview

Join to apply for the Design Engineer III role at MiTek . A full-time permanent position is available for a structural engineer to join our team. The successful applicant will work with an industry-leading team of experts providing design and product solutions for light-framed wood and cold-form steel construction. The position is an in-office role based in Bradford, Ontario, with the option to work from our Calgary, AB office if desired by the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Design of structural wood trusses based on CSA O86 and TPIC2019 Design Standards
• Design of steel components based on CSA S16.1 and CSA S136
• 3D structural modelling and design, including connection design and framing specifications
• Design of field modification details for retrofits of existing structural systems
• Client-facing design support and establishing expert-level usage of MITEK’s 2D / 3D BIM software
• Product development / product testing as required
• Optional Minimal travel (0%-5%)

Qualifications

Expected Salary Range : $90,000 - $110,000 / year
