Oxford Learning Clayton Heights is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre for the upcoming school year (2024-2025). If you love working with students enjoy teaching language skills and want to help others build their academic confidence this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview : As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading writing math and French and / or withHigh Schoolstudents inmath (through Calculus) physics chemistry biology and English. Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods allowing you to focus on what you do best teaching!

Position Requirements

• Availability during after-school and evening hours (3 : 00 pm - 8 : 00 pm)
• Commitmentthrough tothe end of the 2025 school year (June 30th) with thepossibility ofcontinuing through the summer
• In-person instruction
• No relocation package provided
• Ability to commute to the designated location
• Mandatory vulnerable sector screening

Education :

Some post secondary preferred

Experience :

Some experience teaching / tutoring

Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students understanding

The ability to teach French is also highly desired

Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities :

As an Interactive Coach you will :

Teach up to 3 students at a time

Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies

Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports

Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)
