WHAT'S THE JOB?
We are looking to hire a Food Service Associate (Part-Time) at Tim Hortons at Ontario Tech University. This position will report directly to the Lead Hand / Food Service Director.
Shifts available are Monday to Friday 8 : 30am to 12 : 30pm, or Monday to Friday 4 : 30pm to 8 : 30pm.
- Ensure safe preparation of food and beverage ingredients including temperature recording
- Provide service to customers ensuring correct and efficient order completion while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Ambassador of goodwill, ethics, and great customer relations at all times
- Develop the skill set to work at each station (sandwiches, bagels, drinks )
- Comply with maintenance of food rotation to minimize spoilage
- Adherence to policies and standards as outlined in the Marek Hospitality Employee Handbook and by Tim Hortons as well as all workplace safety and food safety / sanitation regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Positive attitude with a passion for providing great service
- Ability to lift (10kgs.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Able to follow directions
- Able to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
- Reach and lift between 0-10 pounds from floor to shoulder height
- Frequent standing and walking required
- Able to work in hot or cold temperatures
