We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator position to work out of Toronto, ON

Must Haves :

  • 10+ years' experience Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS, Data Guard, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Oracle Vault, Oracle Security / Encryption, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
  • 2+ years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate
  • Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e., upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
  • Hands-on Experience in Azure Cloud

The key deliverables and skillsets required :

  • An experienced Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS, Data Guard, Golden Gate, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Oracle Vault, Oracle Security / Encryption, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
  • Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e., upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
  • Working knowledge of features such as Oracle Multitenant option, Oracle Active Data Guard Far Sync, in-memory database, RMAN backup / recovery, fail-over, data masking, security, and new data types.
  • Experience with install, patch, and maintenance of all Oracle software
  • Experience with performance tuning all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL / SQL for application databases.
  • Hands-on Experience in Azure Cloud including VM, Storage, Network, Security, Key Vault, Backup / Recovery
  • Experience with troubleshooting, problem-solving, performance tuning, infrastructure, application, and data-related issues.
  • Strong leadership and Ability to communicate regularly with project and operational teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
